Job Description

Evolution Recruit are currently recruiting for reliable and physically capable Stackers to join our client in Bilsthorpe, NG22. The successful candidate will be responsible for the handling, stacking, and organisation of fresh produce in the packing and storage areas.

Hours

7.30am-4pm Monday – Friday

MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME

OWN TRANSPORT REQUIRED DUE TO LOCATION.

Pay – £12.21 per hour

Duties

• Stack, organise, and move boxes, crates, and bins of fresh produce.
• Load and unload produce from pallets, trucks, or conveyor belts.
• Ensure all produce is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
• Assist in sorting, packing, and labelling produce when required.
• Keep storage and stacking areas clean, safe, and organised.
• Inspect fresh produce for size, colour, shape, and overall quality.
• Identify and remove damaged, diseased, or substandard items.
• Grade produce according to company standards.
• Operate or assist with grading and packing line equipment.
• Weigh, label, and package produce for distribution.

Skills

• Previous experience in warehouse, packing, or produce handling preferred.
• Ability to recognise produce defects and quality differences.
• Ability to lift and move produce boxes safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience in produce grading, packing, or food handling preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
