This fantastic position offers long term work, using your skills and MIG welding experience to complete daily weld targets using drawings and jigs. This position is a 12 week temporary to permanent contract.

SHIFT OPTIONS:

• 4 day week, Mon- Fri with one rota day which changes each week.
• 5 day week, Mon – Fri, 7.15am – 4pm.

Pay rate is between £12.75 – £16.42 per hour (including the bonus) , depending on experience. Breaks are the same for any of the above shift options, which are 10.45am – 11am and 1.30pm – 2pm. Overtime is paid at TIME & A THIRD across all shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
• Inspect welds for quality and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Apply basic math skills to measure and calculate dimensions accurately.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in MIG welding techniques and practices
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Strong fabrication and sheet metal skills
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and basic math
• Familiarity with TIG welding is a plus
• Ability to perform assembly tasks effectively
