This fantastic position offers long term work, using your skills and MIG welding experience to complete daily weld targets using drawings and jigs.

SHIFT OPTIONS:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Friday: 08:00 – 14:30.

Pay rate is between £13.84 – £15.41 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is paid at TIME & A THIRD. Bonus eligible after probation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
• Inspect welds for quality and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Apply basic math skills to measure and calculate dimensions accurately.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG welding techniques and practices
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Strong fabrication and sheet metal skills
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and basic math
• Familiarity with TIG welding is a plus
• Ability to perform assembly tasks effectively
