National Minimum Wage And National Living Wage Increases 2018
In the latest of our Evolution blog, we want to give you an update on the changes to the national minimum wage (NMW) and have a breakdown of this at every age range to help you understand.
The hourly rate of minimum pay you will receive depends on your age and whether you’re an apprentice.
The government has announced that the following new rates of the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage will take effect from April 2018.
National Minimum Wage Changes

The National Minimum Wage increases now take place every April (previously October), in line with National Living Wage since its beginning in April 2016.
Apprentices are entitled to the minimum apprentice rate if they’re aged under 19, aged over 19 but in their first year of their apprenticeship.
